for dogs. i’m really into making dog treats right now again. i have been experimenting with all kinds of healthy combos trying to get the best nutrition & least amount of garbage your dog does not need. i’m pretty sure i hit a home run with these because you don’t really have to worry so much about giving them too many. they are totally wheat-free & vegetarian. ginger, beets, rice & flax are all great for dogs & super easy to digest. if you make one dog biscuit this year, make this one. enjoy!

preheat oven to 350

cream any kind of fat (lard, veg shortening, pb) with juice & pulp of one beet & large slice of fresh ginger. add 4 eggs, whip well. add 1/2 cup powdered flax, 1 teaspoon baking soda & dash of salt. mix well. add enough rice flour to make a paste. around 2 cups.

roll into 1 inch balls & press into a flat circle. bake top rack for 30 minutes. let them sit on the hot rack until cool. i flipped them so they brown on the other side.
